One of our latest recruits boosting much-needed business support for GMYN

At the end of last year we excitedly announced our newest recruit Phil Harris, who joins us as Income and Partnerships Lead.

Phil joined the charity after working as a recruitment consultant for the last seven years, and is looking forward to working in the charity sector and network with businesses across the North West.

The first event Phil brought businesses to was the charities breakfast business event, which was part of the campaign being shown in Manchester city designed by young people.

Previously having volunteered with the charity before the pandemic, Phil understands the purpose of GMYN after working with some of the young people closely on various programmes.

Phil says: “Stepping into the charity sector has been something I’ve thought about for a while, but I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to come along.

“I feel very lucky to have found this role at GMYN, a charity I’ve volunteered for in the past and who make such a positive impact on young people who are facing adversity.

“In my role, I’ll be engaging with and managing partnerships with organisations across the North West who want to improve their social value and help improve the life chances of young people.

“I’m beyond excited to see where this journey takes me, and I’m grateful to be part of such an impactful mission. Here’s to many more weeks of learning, growing, and making a positive change together!”
