Learning new skills and having fun with Tameside care experience programme

May 7th, 2024

The young people on the Tameside care experience programme have been doing lots of fun activities in the last few months.

The 10-14 year old group took part in a three week art project with Tameside Arts in Denton. From mastering sketching and design in week one to bringing their vision to life through vibrant murals in weeks two and three, these young artists amazed us!

Feast your eyes on the culinary creations from our Tameside 14-16s care experienced group!

Everyone got stuck right in at Active Oxford Park in Ashton where the young people’s inner chefs came out.

During the half term session the young people had a great time exploring an indoor adventure centre!

GMYN has been helping young people aged 10-25 since 2012 through programmes to build social skills, encourage positive wellbeing, develop self-esteem and provide skills for the future.

Our programmes help young people learn vital life skills, improve their mental health and well-being, and build a support network outside our provision. The support we provide is flexible to meet the needs of young people, whether through regular 1:1 meetings to support entering employment, engaging in weekly life skills workshops or being that person at the end of the phone when needed.

To find out more information on our care experience programmes and the services we provide, please see our page here.
